Witch of Endor:

I adored this post. Saw it on another persons page and wanted to share this here. It is a tremendous article about Black Feminine Beauty and the betrayal of it by our own people. Please feel free to read and share.

I want to talk about how black women have had their femininity birthright taken from them and how we're punished for it. Barby Jayne and Ashleigh Brown sparked some thoughts in my mind about this as well as the tahitian dancing post I shared earlier.

Where are the African Geisha-types? Courtesans? Nothing about us was ever lauded by bm to the world as a feminine ideal; we've always been betrayed and used as warriors and work mules. How many books/movies/poems have been done about the "pretty prostitute/mistress/courtesan/geisha" in ancient times or now? how many were about BLACK women being the ultimate in feminine sex appeal? Where are our sonnets/odes/epic poems/literature? The Middle East, Asia, and Europe have countless impressive and well known texts dedicated to their women's beauty and femininity, wars were waged in their women's honor, art was created solely to praise their beauty....once again, where's ours? Has no one ever thought about that?

Other women freely express their femininity with Belly Dancing (applauded as body control and beauty), the Tahitian dancing that I shared (lauded as body control and beauty), then you get to BLACK dancing like twerking (also body control and actually from africa) and suddenly it's ghetto trash. It's the same body control, just on a BLACK body and we are not allowed to be feminine and applauded. ALL of these dances were historically created either for the male gaze or to the gods for fertility/harvest, just the BLACK ones are demonized ( as usual, with no THOUGHT). I just want people to THINK. Even POLE dancing ala southern style is now lauded and poetic when white bodies do it but just ass clapping and sluts when bw do it. Who created the thigh control upside down on a pole body perfection to the art? Yeah...Just THINK about biases in gazes directed at bw's art

In modern times, we had decades before asian women to be in asian women's current status as ultimate feminine winners: rounded features, womanly curves, even our hair is rounded and coils!! ALL feminine traits we've allowed to be denigrated. We could have left sellout, incompetent blk men where they were and stepped over to white ones. We had DECADES before asian women..squandered. They had to overcome war whore/poor mail order bride stereotypes and completely revamped their image in about 2 decades. We had like 6 to build alliances!! Now in absolute last/bottom position.

Our femininity was never appreciated or emphasized and now we're demonized as hard, angry, mean....where they do that at? What other way would bw be? When a black girl child IS feminine, she's told to toughen up and accept/want struggle.....when she expresses her feminine sexuality, she's a dirty thot and sexually assaulted (to the tune of over 60% of black girls under the age of 18) and so gets used to her sexuality being devalued and free to all (we don't even cherish black virgins like in every other culture, just assume that all are hoes with a bunch of baby daddies). There are no quinceaneras to celebrate our ascent into womanhood, no cotillions or balls, barely get to go to prom.

Then as adults the great irony in life is that black men turn around and chase OTHER women for being feminine because they haven't set up the environment EVER for bw to be so. Ashleigh Brown noted: "You ever notice how bm only want women that other men worked to preserve their femininity

Ie. Non bw

Ie. Bw with non bm

I was watching a Korean talent show at nail shop and these women are afforded so much in regards to protection of their image. A lot of the songs men were singing was about love and marriage. Bm always coveting bw with non bm who clearly benefit from said protection thus are able to be more feminine. Yesterday driving to the bank i noticed this bm eyeing a nice infinity car that two very pretty indian girls were driving. I assume that the car was bought by the girls father or husband. She seemed to fragile / young to have worked the type of job to afford that car so soon. But yet again goes back to what i said, its so obvious when a woman has things that screams she has a man working for her and bm want to just leech off of that. I think thats why bm always talk about weave because they know if they were man enough to create arenas where bw in their natural state could be adored that weave wearing would be a non issue. They know that it is in part of their failure as men...Deep down they know. So when they date nonblack women, they then get off with this superficial accomplishment...Like they created those feminine spaces for those women because they're with them.

But thats not it...And they know it...i think that's why bm with non bw get very mad when they aee bw with non bm -They know we know the jig is up...I think thats why my dad never took to my husband becuase he saw all that he did for me in such a small period of time and it highlighted HIS failures as man."

The space was never created for us to bask in our skin, beauty, shapes, hair, etc AND we get demonized for it so....where does that leave us? We've been ROBBED, for centuries. And it's sad.
